Be spontaneous!

Children are spontaneous and adults laugh at the often funny situations. At the same time adults feel silly when behaving spontaneously and behave based on the thought of: what are people going to think?...

Being spontaneous allows you to reconnect to your being and your full potential, when you are open to situations you see and receive more. Can you remember calling a long lost friend? What was the reaction of both of you? Most probably happiness, connecting and the great feeling of knowing somebody thought of me today! What a great gift.

Coaching question for this week is...

What would I do if I had no fear?

The dictionary describes fear as: a distressing negative sensation induced by a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. Fear is apparently a universal emotion.

When we use fear as a survival mechanism it helps us be aware of things and then we take decisions accordingly. This is a good thing if not we would live in constant chaos. But too much fear frizzes us, blocks us from taking the steps we want/need to achieve our dreams.

What can I do so this day goes in harmony and balance?

Today I was reading in a friend’s blog about forgiveness and I was interested in the comments people were posting. The common denominator was holding grudges are bad for your mental and physical health and it halts you in moving further.

I am not saying it is easy to forgive, I think it’s easier to forgive others than ourselves, but the benefits of letting go are tenfold more!

I want to invite you to reflect on: What can I do so this day goes in harmony and balance?

Coaching question for this week is...

What is the one specific action that would have the greatest impact on you achieving your goal?

When you have goals and actions to achieve you need a plan of action. What is important, if you are serious about achieving your goals, when preparing a plan of action is that the actions are related to what YOU need and want. I call this an I-Centred-Plan. Only when you see yourself in the plan you feel committed and bonded!

The I-Centred-Plan will help you build actions based on your own strengths and talents.

Coaching question for this week is...

I am often asked what can coaching do for me? Depending on who I am talking to I will give a short or longer answer. Today I choose to give a middle one:

How well do you care for your support system?

Most people tend to think that they need to do things alone. The reasons vary from I don't want to bother anyone to I know how I want things so it’s going to take too much time...

Do you recognise these thoughts? I do!, but in the last couple of months I have taken the steps to ask my support system (notice I am not saying my network) for help, information, cuddles and feedback.

Recommendations from critics and colleagues

“In her book CONGRATULATIONS! YOU’VE HIRED A COACH, and through the use of a simple step by step process, dozens of concrete examples, and the additional support of Whispers cards and a community website, Edmée Schalkx has made coaching accessible to countless individuals who might not be ready or able to hire their own coach.”

Using GROW to get organised and unstressed

I have shared the GROW model with you before. Today I want to share a different way how to use GROW

Let me remind you what stands GROW:
G= goals
R= reality
O= opportunities - obstacles
W= all the W questions such as: where, why, when, who, how, etc

GROW is such a simple and fun model to use for problem solving, setting goals and working out a plan, time management, getting meetings organized and conduct efficient meeting but today I want to show you how I used GROW to clear a overflowing head.

What comes first: goals or intention?

I guess each of us have our own opinion. One thing I know for sure, when you live with intention and you have goals magical things happen:
• suddenly closed doors open
• new opportunities appear in front of us
• our horizon broadness
• and these happen every day!

Can you imagine your life when living with intention and having goals and dreams?

What do you see? Share with us in the comment line
